Nice Surprise

My parents called earlier in the weekend to let us know they were coming to Charlotte for a funeral today, but they weren't sure if they would have a chance to come by since they were traveling with another couple. This afternoon, they called and were only about 10 minutes away. The other couple had something else to do, so they stopped by for a couple of hours.

Emily was long overdue for a nap, but refused to go to sleep--she had a great time playing with her grandma and grandpa, and showed off all of her new acrobatics. She even tried to give kisses to her grandma. She still doesn't quite understand that her mouth shouldn't be wide open.

I think she believes it's play time when a man is holding her, and snuggle time when a woman is holding her. That's usually the way she is with Mick and me :).
