We've been working on "please" and "thank you" with Emily because she's picking up on words so quickly now, and we both feel like those are both important ones to learn. I was not, however, prepared for Emily to start saying "please" when she really wants something. She likes to open the pantry while I'm making dinner and pick something out, hand it to me and ask for a "nack." It is usually fairly easy to tell her we're not going to eat crackers or goldfish before dinner, but last night, she handed me a sleeve of Ritz Crackers and (with her sweetest smile) said "cacker, peese!"
We're really going to have a hard time saying no to that precious little request!
