Little Things

Emily seems to do something that excites us every day--it's the little things that really make us realize how fast she's growing and learning.

This morning, we were choosing what to have for breakfast, and I had offered her all of her favorites--oatmeal, eggs with cheese, grits, toast--she said no to everything. Finally, I asked if she wanted cereal, and she jumped up and said "yeah!" I took down the Cheerios and poured some in a bowl. When I handed her the bowl, she looked at it, handed it back and said "milk!"

I poured some milk in, handed her a spoon, and she went to town!

So proud of our sweet pea, having her first bowl of cereal :).
