August Highlights

The first weekend of August, I went back to my hometown for my 20-year high school reunion.  I debated about going, but I was so glad I did after it was over.  Mick was taking Em to meet his parents at the same time I was driving to it.  She's taking one of her last few weeks before school starts to spend with them in Brunswick.

The reunion was at a restaurant in New Bern called the Chelsea (in the old drug store where Pepsi was first invented).

Lindsey and Jessica were my first two friends from kindergarten, so it was really cool to see them again.

Jack and Shelley were also close friends.  There were some people who really hadn't changed at all, and some who were barely recognizable.  It was a really fun night and I'm glad I went.

Later that week, Mick and I took advantage of a childless night to have a nice dinner together at a local restaurant before Em came back home.

And Bella was missing her sister, so she kept her bed warm for her!
