January 2016

The new year started off strong with Em losing her first tooth the night before she went back to school from her break!  She was so excited, and had wiggled it to death--finally, she asked me to pull it out, so I used a washcloth and barely pulled before it popped out!
It was perfect timing, because it was easy getting her up for school the next morning--she was so excited to see what the tooth fairy brought.  She wrote her a note and left a very glittery dollar for her, but Em's favorite thing was that she dropped a feather in her bed!
Less than a week later, the second one was out too!  Em and Mick were wrestling when she said "I think there's a rock in my mouth, and I taste blood!"  Sure enough, it was the tooth.
This time, the tooth fairy left a giant chocolate coin for her!
This month was Em's first father-daughter dance at school.  It was the Harrisburg Elementary School Iceburg Ball.  Mick bought her a corsage and went outside so he could ring the doorbell and greet her.
She was very excited as her sisters looked on to make sure they approved of her date.
And here they are, ready to go!
She had a great time.
At the end, they blew snow bubbles out over the crowd!
