Em had quite a few firsts this month--she loves having play dates with her friends, and we had dinner one night at her friend Hailey's house. It's always better to play with someone else's toys than your own :).
She had her first sleepover this month too! Lily lives in our neighborhood and came over one Saturday night. They watched movies and had a great time playing together. I put them in sleeping bags on an air mattress together for the night and they felt like they were camping.
The next morning, they had pancakes and strawberries for breakfast!
Em has a friend in the neighborhood who takes guitar lessons, and convinced her that she wanted to do it too. She was pretty convinced after the first one that it wasn't for her though. Good thing it was pay-as-you-go.
We also decided to sign Em up for karate this month. She absolutely loves it! This is her high five after getting her white belt in her first class! She'll go to class twice each week.
On a whim one night, we decided to make homemade doughnuts after dinner. Em was in charge of the powdered sugar--they were delicious!
Our neighborhood had it's annual chili cook-off and pie contest this month too. We entered both, and our pie was a last minute decision (Oreo ice cream pie). It was a landslide win, and Em took home first place for the pie!
