Big Daddy

Em's class needed a volunteer to make a scarecrow for her class this week--they're learning about all things fall, and scarecrows were next.  So of course, we volunteered!

On Sunday, Em and I took a bunch of packing paper, straw, and all the accessories and got to work.  It took us a good few hours,
but here was our end result!  Em affectionately named him Daddy.
We had to go out to Michael's to find a black crow--lucky for us they were easy to find with the Halloween stuff.
He was huge, and a challenge to get into my car or her classroom on Monday morning!  The teacher loved him, and when Em told her his name was Daddy, Ms. Kathy laughed and said "maybe we should call him "Big Daddy!"  He stands proudly in their classroom now!
