Low Country Boil

We planned to have some friends over for a seafood boil last month, and it rained us out--since this wasn't really something we could bring inside, we decided to postpone it until today.  Em was so excited that we were having a party, and our guest list got pretty long.

 

We had about 30 people total, and several people brought kids, so they had a great time on Em's playset.  We brought out the fire pit, two big turkey fryers with boiler baskets, and a ton of food.

We would do some things differently next time (like let the food sit in the seasoning longer), but it turned out great.

We had quite a bit of food left over, but luckily, people took some to go!

I think Em would have eaten all of the corn by herself :).

 It was a good time, and we'll plan to do it again, for sure!

Em's friend Emma from school was here, so she needed to show off Bever, her fish.

Em was up until 11:00 that night!  Good thing it was Saturday :).
